Weekend Recap: Facials, Flowers, and Food

This past weekend flew by just like they always do. Most of Saturday we stayed home playing outside and cleaning the house. My sister came to visit us from Wilmington to celebrate my birthday a few weeks late. We went out to eat Saturday evening at Ellis Creek Fish Camp. It’s a little restaurant on the water with an amazing sunset view. They have the absolute best coconut mojitos and super yummy seafood. We ended the evening going to a little playground and walking out on the dock to see the giant full moon, it was huge!

The next day my sister and I spent the morning downtown while Daniel stayed at home with the kids. We got rosemary lattes and walked around to a few different shops and explored some new historic places. We stopped by the sweetest little vintage flower truck and made our own bouquets. Let me say, being a florist is definitely not in my future.

We then headed over to Clean My Dirty Face in Mount Pleasant for facials. Neither of us had ever gotten a facial before and we had a great time. The estheticians were amazing and we left with our skin feeling so refreshed. The best thing is that they offer monthly memberships! I can’t wait to go back, I think facials may be my new thing. You can use code “virgin” to get your first facial for $35.00.

We ended the day on Shem Creek eating outside at Sunsets with Daniel and the kids. We got a couple of appetizers to share and chatted while watching the boats go by. Sitting by the water always keeps the kids so entertained. Isla sat and watched the birds the entire time, we didn’t see any dolphins yesterday but usually you’ll spot one or two. After our late lunch we walked over to the boardwalk and let the kids get some built up energy out.

We miss living close to family more than anything, so it’s always a nice time when we are able to be together. We enjoyed our weekend so much and are looking forward to these warmer Spring days ahead.
