2018: Our Biggest Year Yet

2018.. where do I begin? 2018 has been quite the year for us. We’ve made some of our greatest memories but have also said some of our hardest goodbyes. This year has brought us on many great adventures, many that we will never forget and will forever look back on. Here are just a few things that have happened throughout the past year:

We started out by celebrating the new year at Kerry Park, which is the best view of Seattle and where we got engaged the year before. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts so we thought it would be a great way to start out 2018.

In February, Daniel surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas for my birthday. We stayed at the Venetian Hotel and won absolutely no money... but we had an amazing time and this is still one of our favorite trips to date. This is a trip that we definitely plan on taking again in the future.

In June, Daniel and I decided to make our first big purchase and bought a 2018 Toyota 4-Runner. This has been our “realistic” dream car for many years and we are so excited to finally have one. Fast forward six months and we are still absolutely in love with our car and recommend it to anybody who is looking for a SUV.

July was a big month for us. We packed up our house and said goodbye to the place we called home and to the people who we had become close with over the past two years. We then started our journey back to the East Coast which included major stops in Las Vegas, The Grand Canyon, and Waco Texas. Here is the blog post and video if you want to read more about our cross country trip.

In August I started my internship as a family counselor and got to work planning the final details of our wedding.

September! September is a month that we will always remember, the month that we got married. Everything about our wedding day turned out perfect and I still get chills watching our wedding video. It’s still hard to believe that we are finally married.

We started out October on our honeymoon in Barbados. We stayed at an all inclusive Sandals resort and had a amazing eight days filled with all you can eat restaurants, all you can drink beverages, jet skiing, laying out by the pool and ocean, spa days, meeting monkeys, and anything else you could think of. We spent November settling into married life and trying to plan out the next steps of our future. We also got the chance to catch up with friends and family over Thanksgiving.

December has been a big month for us so far. I graduated from college and got a job being an Intensive In-Home Counselor for children and families. Daniel and I were able to spend our first Christmas as a married couple together and spent a lot of quality time with our families.

A lot has been going on the last few weeks of December, but there’s more! Stay tuned for a big announcement coming in the next few weeks! We are so excited about this!
